Another RoadBlock on the way to Making Money on The Internet

Have you become a stat junkie? I know when I first started in the internet marketing “hobby” I was a stat junkie. I would refresh my google Adsense account hundreds of times a day to see if there were any clicks, and how many. I was forever looking at stats. Folks, this is counter-productive. This is time that could be better spent on promoting your site or blog to get more traffic. If you update your site regularly and promote it, the stats will be there.

Don’t get me wrong, stats are important and should be checked on a regular basis and somewhat analyzed. By regular I mean, once a day. Pick a certain time a day to view your stats and analyze them. I choose to check my stats and earnings first thing in the morning. By doing it this way, it is out of the way and I can move on to other things.

I normally don’t post on the weekends but I find myself caught in the looking at stats trap all the time and thought I might want to make all of you aware of this trap while it was fresh in my head.
